Aidan Walsh returns to Commonwealth Games as welfare staff for Team NI

Aidan Walsh, a former Commonwealth Games boxer, takes on a welfare and support role for Team Northern Ireland in Glasgow. After winning silver in 2018 and gold in 2022, Walsh is assisting 64 athletes competing this summer. He is well-prepared, holding a background in athlete wellbeing and sports psychology. Reflecting on his own experiences, Walsh aims to help younger athletes manage pressure and enjoy the Games. Walsh's sister, Michaela, is competing for her fourth Commonwealth medal and continues to strive for success.
