Airport boys and New Boston Huron girls win cross country jamboree titles

At the Huron League cross country jamboree on Sept. 22, the Airport boys and New Boston Huron girls earned team titles. Huron showcased strong performances, placing all five runners in the top 10, finishing with 31 points. The boys' competition saw Airport tie with Huron at 58 points but win the tiebreaker. St. Mary Catholic Central’s Christian Craanen and Airport’s Ella Baker were individual race winners, with Baker clocking a time of 20:05.8, leaving her closest competitor behind by eight seconds. The next scheduled races will continue the Huron League season.
