AJ Barner shows potential for fantasy football breakout in 2026

Summary

Seattle Seahawks tight end AJ Barner is anticipated to improve his performance for fantasy football owners in 2026. After a successful 2025 season where he recorded 519 receiving yards and six touchdowns, Barner's role may evolve even further. While projections indicate a decrease to 432 receiving yards and four touchdowns next season, he was just three targets shy of being the second-most targeted receiver in Seattle's offense last year. Barner's off-season work will be crucial as the Seahawks' passing attack continues to feature Jaxon Smith-Njigba prominently. Should Barner secure more targets, he could exceed expectations in PPR leagues.
