A'ja Wilson earns WNBA Western Conference player of the month for August

Las Vegas Aces center A'ja Wilson secured the Western Conference Player of the Month award for August, marking her fourth such honor this season. The designation follows an 11-game stretch where she averaged 25 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks per game. With this recognition, Wilson becomes the first WNBA player to sweep the monthly honors in multiple seasons. She currently leads the league in points and blocks per game while moving into the top 11 of the all-time scoring list. The Aces are scheduled to return to action on September 17 against the Seattle Storm following the FIBA World Cup break.
