A'ja Wilson of the Las Vegas Aces has been named the WNBA's Most Valuable Player for the fifth time, following the announcement on October 8, 2026. Wilson received 65 first-place votes and a total of 713 points, while Lynx rookie Olivia Miles finished second with six first-place votes and 442 points. Miles' finish marks the highest placement for a rookie since Candace Parker won the award in 2008. Despite her strong individual performance leading the Lynx with 19.8 PPG and 6.0 APG, the team was swept in the first round of the playoffs by New York. This season, Miles also earned Rookie of the Year honors.
