Ajax adds winger Simon Adingra on loan from Sunderland

Summary

Ajax has reached an agreement to sign Simon Adingra on a season-long loan from Sunderland. The winger is currently sidelined with an injury and will join the Eredivisie club to work toward a return to form. Sunderland acquired Adingra from Brighton for £21.5 million last year but the player made only 15 appearances before spending the second half of the previous campaign on loan at Monaco. Ajax seeks to revitalize the Ivorian's performance following his successful stint in Belgium with Union St Gilloise. The club recently added Victor Tsygankov to its attacking ranks earlier this summer.
