Ajax's Dies Janse earns praise for performance against FC Groningen

In Ajax's recent match against FC Groningen, defender Dies Janse received commendations from coach Michel Sanchez for his solid performance. Janse, starting central defense alongside Aaron Bouwman, showcased strong defensive skills and effectiveness in build-up play. This marked Janse's second start of the season, having limited minutes due to Ajax's current defensive setup. His contract has been extended until June 2030, and he is viewed as a future key player for the team as they navigate player transitions. Ajax secured a convincing 5-2 victory, highlighting a return to form after previous setbacks. Janse's growing role comes amid speculation regarding teammate Youri Baas's position on the team.
