Alabama basketball hires Alex Accetta as director of program relations

Alabama basketball announced two support staff changes on September 3, 2026, including the return of Alex Accetta to the program. Accetta, who recently married Alabama coach Nate Oats in July, will serve as the director of program relations. She previously held roles within the Alabama men's basketball operation from 2015 to 2022 before moving to a guest experience position with the Dallas Mavericks. The university also confirmed that Josh Pierre is transitioning from his role as director of basketball operations to director of player development. Pierre fills the vacancy left by Christian Pino, who departed for a recruiting coordinator position at Providence. Alabama basketball opens its 2026-27 exhibition schedule against Furman on October 8.
