Alabama defeated Kentucky 45-17 on Friday at Kroger Field in Lexington. Kentucky held a 17-13 lead at halftime after defensive lineman Mi’Quise Humphrey-Grace forced a fumble and recorded a pick-six against Alabama quarterback Keelon Russell. The Kentucky offense struggled in the second half, managing only 62 total yards and failing to score. Alabama took the lead in the third quarter following a fumble by Kentucky quarterback Kenny Minchey and a subsequent touchdown by running back EJ Crowell. Alabama outscored Kentucky 32-0 in the second half to secure the win. Humphrey-Grace finished the game for Kentucky with four tackles, one sack, and one and a half tackles for loss in addition to his forced fumble and interception.
