Alabama football adds South Carolina 3-star RB Tai Phillips to 2027 class

Alabama football has secured a commitment from Tai Phillips, a three-star running back from Columbia, South Carolina, for its 2027 recruiting class. Phillips chose the Crimson Tide over offers from Florida State and Stanford. He is noted for a strong junior season at Cape Fear High School, where he accumulated 919 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns. His commitment brings the class total to ten members, including running back Nigel Newkirk and two tight ends. Alabama previously added two running backs in the 2026 class.
