Alabama football secures second running back commitment for 2027

Alabama football gained its ninth commitment of the recruiting cycle when running back Tai Phillips pledged to the Crimson Tide. Phillips, who camped in Tuscaloosa recently, had been considering offers from Florida State, Ohio State, NC State, and Penn State. He is coming off a strong 2025 season with 12 touchdowns in seven games. Alabama previously added commitment Nigel Newkirk to its running back class. The Crimson Tide will continue evaluating prospects during their High School Camp this weekend.
