Alabama offensive coordinator names William Sanders starter at left guard

Alabama offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb confirmed William Sanders will start at left guard for the team's upcoming season opener against East Carolina. Grubb indicated that Sanders has separated himself from the group over the previous seven to eight days after missing spring practice due to an injury. The coaching staff also identified Racin Delgatty at center, Jackson Lloyd at left tackle, and Michael Carroll at right guard as part of the projected starting offensive line. At right tackle, Mississippi State transfer Jayvin James is currently taking the majority of first-team repetitions while working toward full game shape. Texas transfer Nick Brooks is also rotating in at the right tackle position.
