Alabama quarterbacks compete for starting job during fall scrimmage

The Alabama Crimson Tide held their final fall scrimmage on August 20 in Tuscaloosa, where quarterbacks Keelon Russell and Austin Mack continued to vie for the starting role. Coach Kalen DeBoer noted that both players displayed solid performances, with Russell taking the first snaps in practice. Injuries were also highlighted, as running back EJ Crowell and wide receiver Lotzeir Brooks missed the scrimmage due to injury concerns. DeBoer remains noncommittal on a starter but expressed confidence in both quarterbacks. The team looks to finalize its roster ahead of the season opener next month.
