Ryan Lambert, a 16-year-old state champion wrestler from Alabama, died in a car crash on Friday night. Lambert, who won the Alabama 4A state title in February, was driving a 2007 Jeep Cherokee when the vehicle struck an embankment and overturned. Investigators indicated that he was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the vehicle. Following the crash, he was transported to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
