Albany and Rocori split matches at Earlybird Volleyball Tournament

Albany hosted the annual Earlybird Volleyball Tournament on August 28, with Albany and Rocori each finishing their matches with 2-2 records. Albany swept Maple Lake and Big Lake but lost to Osakis and Annandale. Rocori secured wins against Maple Lake and Osakis, suffering defeats against New London-Spicer and Sauk Centre. The tournament featured teams from across central Minnesota, with Annandale, New London-Spicer, and Watertown-Mayer winning their respective pools. Albany coach Brian Hines noted positive aspects of his team’s performance despite the losses. Both teams will return to action on September 1.
