Albert Regis, the Jacksonville Jaguars’ third-round pick, is set to enter training camp as a key rookie player. With DaVon Hamilton as the starting nose tackle and previous backup Austin Johnson no longer on the roster, Regis has the opportunity to fill a critical role on the team’s defensive line. He is projected to take on a significant number of defensive snaps, maintaining the effectiveness of Jacksonville's top-ranked run defense, which allowed only 85.6 rushing yards per game last season. Training camp will provide insight into Regis's readiness for NFL competition and his potential contributions to the Jaguars' defensive strategy.
- •Regis enters training camp behind DaVon Hamilton on the depth chart.
- •Austin Johnson's departure leaves defensive snaps available for Regis.
- •Jacksonville's defense ranked first against the run last season.
- •Regis has a strong college track record, with 116 tackles and 11 tackles for loss.
- •Training camp will gauge Regis's ability to compete at the NFL level.
