What they're saying

Along with the rest of WWE’s post-WrestleMania 42 cuts, Aleister Black became a free agent in late July. His wrestling future is a little hazier than many of the others in that group, however. That’s because it’s not clear if AEW is an option for him, given rumors about his time there as Malakai Black… which were at least somewhat accurate according to one person with first-hand knowledge. That probably has a lot to do with why we haven’t heard rumors about the next stop for Black (real name Tom Budgen). But we have gotten a tease for the 41-year-old Dutchman’s next move, and it comes from the man himself in a slickly-produced video captioned, “I am the death of me.” It tells the tale of an affluent eccentric dealing with self-doubt who gets a message from one of his expensive collectibles telling him to shave his head, instantly turning him into someone who can once again beat up sparring partners at the gym. Or that was what I took from it, anyway. Check it out and decide for yourself… View this post on Instagram If that was even snarkier than my usual snark, I apologize. But watching this, I recalled other videos Black’s posted in-between contracts, and those were dope too! They didn’t involve new haircuts, but they were cool. They were also better than the runs that followed, by a significant margin. Will that be the case again here? We’ll see where he lands first and then decide. But we encourage you to offer your take on Tom Budgen’s video or his next move in pro wrestling right now in the comments below.
