Alejandra Lara receives nine-month suspension from Nevada Athletics

Alejandra Lara has been suspended for nine months and fined following a positive test for cocaine metabolite benzoylecgonine. The Nevada Athletic Commission revealed the settlement agreement on August 26, 2026, which includes a $412.50 fine and $250.60 in legal fees. Lara tested positive after her bout on April 24, 2026, against Jaleen Robledo, where she suffered a third-round submission defeat. With this suspension, the 32-year-old fighter will be eligible to return to competition on January 24, 2027. Lara, previously a Bellator contender, has a record of 12 wins and 10 losses, having gone 3-3 since leaving the promotion in 2023.
