Alejo Veliz finalizes £8m transfer to Bahia from Tottenham

Alejo Veliz is concluding a transfer to Bahia from Tottenham for £7.8 million. The Argentine striker had limited success at Spurs, with only one goal in eight appearances before a series of loans to Sevilla and Espanyol. After returning to Rosario Central, the move to Bahia, part of the City Football Group, is expected to be finalized soon, with Veliz recently spotted in Brazil. This transfer represents a chance for Veliz to reclaim his career in a smaller league after struggling in Europe.
