Alessio Milivojevic takes responsibility for Michigan State offensive stalls

Michigan State quarterback Alessio Milivojevic attributed recent offensive red-zone struggles to his own decision-making and execution. Despite defeating Toledo 30-20 on September 4, the Spartans relied on five field goals from Liam Boyd rather than consistent touchdown drives. Milivojevic noted that errant throws and timing issues hindered the team when moving the ball into scoring range. He also cited Toledo’s defensive coverage, which utilized high safeties and forced the Spartans to rely on shorter underneath routes throughout the game. The team recorded only two penalties, both holding calls, in an effort to maintain discipline. Michigan State is scheduled to face Eastern Michigan this Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET.
