Alex Eala prepares for Asian Games tennis competition in Japan

Alex Eala will compete at the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, with the tournament starting on September 27. The 21-year-old, who won a bronze medal in 2022, holds the top seed in singles and is the only top-50 player in the draw. Eala will have a bye in the first round and is expected to face either Patcharin Cheapchandej or Mahin Qureshi in the second round. Eala could encounter tougher opponents in later rounds, including Zhang Shuai, ranked 55th, in the finals if she progresses through the tournament.
