Alex Eala prepares for potential clash with Amanda Anisimova in Singapore

Alex Eala is set to compete at the Singapore Open next week, following her third-round exit at the US Open. The absence of Jessica Pegula has opened the draw, boosting Eala's opportunity for a second tour-level title. She received a first-round bye and will face either Sofia Costoulas or Tatiana Prozorova in her first match. If she advances, Eala may face eighth seed Donna Vekic in the quarterfinals and could meet Amanda Anisimova in the semifinals. Eala previously faced Anisimova at the 2026 Cincinnati Open, where she won the first set before ultimately losing the match.
