Alex Freeman scored his first World Cup goal on June 19, helping the USA secure a 2-0 victory over Australia. This win allowed the USA to advance to the knockout stage of the tournament. The match marked a significant moment for Freeman, son of Super Bowl winner Antonio Freeman, who has been a source of inspiration for him. The USA's win at a home World Cup has elevated Freeman's profile, particularly after a challenging path that saw him rise from reserve status in 2022 to a key player under head coach Mauricio Pochettino.
