Alex McLaughlin named to Sporting News Midseason All-America Team

Washington Huskies safety Alex McLaughlin has been selected for the Sporting News Midseason All-America Team. This recognition comes in his second year with the Huskies, where he has compiled 48 tackles, 6.5 for loss, 2.5 sacks, 2 interceptions, and 3 pass breakups through seven games. Despite the team's 4-3 record, McLaughlin has emerged as a key defensive player under coordinator Ryan Walters. Coaches credit his growth and adaptability to various defensive roles as a significant reason for his selection. Washington now has a bye week as they aim to improve in the second half of the season.
