Alex Ovechkin day-to-day with undisclosed injury before Capitals preseason

Alex Ovechkin is currently day-to-day with a lower-body injury as the Washington Capitals prepare for the upcoming NHL season. Coach Spencer Carbery indicated that Ovechkin might miss the entire preseason. Although the injury doesn't seem serious at this point, the implications for the 41-year-old could affect his management throughout the season. Ovechkin's health is critical for the Capitals' plans, especially with new additions like Alex Tuch and Jordan Kyrou aimed at supporting him. Further updates on Ovechkin’s condition are expected following practice sessions this week.
