Alex Weingartner leads St. Augustine to Non-Public South A title

Alex Weingartner pitched a complete-game two-hitter and went 2-for-4 to help St. Augustine Prep defeat Christian Brothers Academy 6-0 for the NJSIAA Non-Public South A championship on Thursday. The win marks St. Augustine's eighth sectional title in the last ten seasons. Weingartner struck out nine and stole two bases, showcasing his skills after recently being named the Gatorade New Jersey Baseball Player of the Year. St. Augustine, now 22-7, will face Delbarton in the Non-Public A final next Wednesday at Rutgers University.
