Alex Yee exits Supertri final in Jersey after bike chain breaks

Olympic champion Alex Yee failed to finish the Supertri Pro Series Final in Jersey after his bike chain snapped during the second cycling leg. The incident occurred while Yee was racing within the leading pack alongside Hayden Wilde. Matt Hauser of Australia secured the men’s title, finishing seven seconds ahead of Wilde, while Mitch Kolkman placed third. In the women’s race, Olympic champion Cassandre Beaugrand won the event, finishing 19 seconds ahead of Georgia Taylor-Brown. Local competitor Siena Stephens was eliminated following the first leg of the race. Yee now shifts his focus to the World Triathlon Championships taking place in Spain later this month.
