Alexander Isak netted his first goal of the season during Liverpool’s 2-2 draw against Nottingham Forest at Anfield. Despite scoring, Isak struggled with limited involvement, recording only six touches and one accurate pass in the first half. Manager Andoni Iraola, who has drawn his opening two games, now faces challenges in integrating Isak effectively into the team’s play. The match emphasized Liverpool's ongoing possession issues, having controlled 60% to 70% in their first two games without securing a lead in either.
- •Isak scored Liverpool's equalizer shortly after halftime.
- •Liverpool has drawn both of their opening matches this season.
- •Andoni Iraola has yet to find the right tactical fit for Isak.
- •Liverpool opponents have focused on low-block defenses.
- •Iraola's team held significant possession percentages against both opponents.
