Alexander Stirr of East named 2026 Pocono Record Hitter of the Year

Alexander Stirr of Pocono Mountain East High School has been awarded the 2026 Pocono Record baseball Hitter of the Year, following a strong junior season. After recovering from a significant injury that sidelined him during his sophomore year, Stirr posted a batting average of.469, a slugging percentage of.766, and an on-base percentage of.585. His performance included 27 hits, seven doubles, three triples, two home runs, and 23 RBIs in 23 games. East head coach Matt DelGiudice praised Stirr's development and leadership on the team, which secured the EPC North title and reached the playoffs with a 15-8 record this season. Looking ahead, Stirr expressed gratitude for his coaches and teammates, citing the importance of their support moving into his senior year.
