Alexander Zverev reaches third consecutive Grand Slam final of the season

Alexander Zverev advanced to the US Open final after defeating Karen Khachanov in straight sets, 6-3, 7-6(7), 7-6(6). This result marks the third time this season the German has reached a major championship round, following his victory at Roland Garros. Zverev currently holds the most consistent performance record among ATP players at Grand Slams throughout this year. While Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz have previously dominated the circuit, both players faced injuries or early exits that limited their consistency compared to Zverev. Having reached the semi-final stage or better at all four majors this year, Zverev now prepares for the US Open final on Sunday, September 13. He will face either Ben Shelton or Frances Tiafoe for the title.
