Alison dos Santos claimed gold in the men’s 400m hurdles at the 2026 Diamond League Final in Brussels. He finished the race with a time of 46.70 seconds, establishing a new meeting record that had stood since 1986. This performance marks the Brazilian runner's third Diamond League Final victory and concludes a season that included five first-place finishes. Trevor Bassitt of the United States secured second place with a time of 48.03 seconds. Matheus Lima and Emil Agyekum finished in a tie for third, both recording a time of 48.18 seconds. The event was part of the final weekend of the 2026 Wanda Diamond League circuit.
