Aljamain Sterling rejects Jean Silva's claim for title shot

Aljamain Sterling expressed strong disapproval of Jean Silva's request for a title shot, suggesting Silva should not leapfrog him in the contender rankings. Sterling referred to Silva's recent third-round submission of Jose Delgado but emphasized that both fighters should face other opponents first. Silva, unswayed, is instead pursuing the winner of the title bout between Alexander Volkanovski and Movsar Evloev on October 24. Sterling will face red-hot contender Kevin Vallejos on November 21.
