Alpine drops in F1 standings following Pierre Gasly Monaco GP penalty ruling

The FIA International Court of Appeal ruled on Friday that speeding penalties issued to Pierre Gasly during the Monaco Grand Prix must stand. The decision reverses a previous review that had initially cleared the driver of the infractions. Consequently, Gasly drops from third to seventh place in the final race classification. The adjustment results in a 13-point shift in the constructors' championship battle for fifth position. Alpine loses nine points in the updated standings, while Racing Bulls gains four as Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad are promoted in the race results. Drivers from seventh to 11th place in the individual standings were also impacted by the revised classification.
