Altrincham has secured the signing of 22-year-old Sam Taylor, formerly with Tranmere Rovers. Taylor, a graduate of the Tranmere academy, made six first-team appearances after signing in 2022 but was among 12 players released at the end of last season. He spent the 2025-26 campaign on loan at Linfield in the NIFL Premiership, where he recorded two goals in 33 matches. Altrincham adds Taylor to bolster their forward options ahead of the upcoming season.
