Alvaro Arbeloa misses Bayer Leverkusen managerial opportunity

Alvaro Arbeloa has reportedly missed out on the managerial position at Bayer Leverkusen after the club chose former Toulouse manager Carles Martinez for the role. Arbeloa, who recently departed Real Madrid following a challenging season, sought a new opportunity with the German side. His time at Real Madrid was marked by challenges, including a Champions League exit at the quarter-final stage and a La Liga defeat with three games remaining. Arbeloa attributed some of the difficulties to injuries affecting his squad late in the season. Despite his previous success with Real Madrid’s youth teams, his lack of senior management experience was a factor in Leverkusen's decision to turn down the offer.
