Amad scores late winner for Ivory Coast against Ecuador at World Cup
Summary

Amad scored a crucial goal in the 90th minute to lead Ivory Coast to a 1-0 victory over Ecuador on June 14 during the group stages of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Ecuador dominated the first half and hit the crossbar two times, while Ivory Coast struggled to find their offensive rhythm. After Amad came off the bench, he made an immediate impact, scoring from a square pass by Wilfried Singo. This victory marked the end of Ecuador's 19-game unbeaten streak and guarantees that the World Cup has no matches ending in a 0-0 draw so far. Amad's performance may influence his chances for a starting position in the next group-stage match against Germany.
