A’Mauri Washington aims for top defensive tackle position in 2027 NFL Draft

Oregon defensive tackle A’Mauri Washington, returning for the 2026 college season, is projected as a strong candidate for the first defensive tackle selected in the 2027 NFL Draft. Washington could have declared for the upcoming draft but opted to stay and compete with Oregon's defensive lineup. The New York Giants, who traded star tackle Dexter Lawrence, may be looking to Washington as a potential replacement. He possesses notable size, strength, and athleticism, but his technique requires refinement.
