Amby Burfoot's marathon record attempt sidelines due to ankle injury

Amby Burfoot, the 80-year-old Connecticut running legend, suffered an ankle injury which prevents him from participating in the Eversource Hartford Marathon set for October 10. While preparing for the marathon, Burfoot injured himself during a media photo shoot on the beach. Despite the setback, he plans to attend the marathon to support other runners and he remains hopeful for future events, including the Manchester Road Race on Thanksgiving Day.
