Ameer Speed signs with Dallas Cowboys after brief stint with Texans

The Dallas Cowboys have signed defensive back Ameer Speed, who previously played for Michigan State. After transferring from Georgia, Speed was drafted by the New England Patriots in the sixth round of the 2023 NFL Draft. He spent time with the Chicago Bears, Indianapolis Colts, and Houston Texans before joining the Cowboys. In addition to Speed, the Cowboys made several roster moves, waiving DB Corey Ballentine and WR Romello Brinson, while placing C Matt Hennessy on injured reserve.
