Amy Hunt takes silver in women’s 100m at Commonwealth Games

She was narrowly beaten by New Zealand’s Zoe Hobbs, who set a national record with a time of 10.93 seconds. Hunt, aiming to end England's 40-year wait for a gold in this event, faced stiff competition after the withdrawal of several top rivals. Australia’s Torrie Lewis secured bronze with a time of 10.99 seconds, while Hunt's teammate Imani Lansiquot placed fourth. The men’s 100m gold went to Cameroon’s Emmanuel Eseme with a Games-record time of 9.83 seconds.
