Amy Hunt wins gold in women's 100m at European Championships

Amy Hunt claimed gold in the women's 100 metres at the European Athletics Championships in Birmingham on August 10, 2026. The 24-year-old finished in exactly 11 seconds, edging Poland's Ewa Swoboda by two hundredths of a second. Hunt, a silver medallist in the world 200m event, surpassed defending champion Dina Asher-Smith, who placed fifth. Earlier in the competition, Great Britain earned a silver medal in the mixed 4x400m relay.
