Analysts project key player milestones and division winners for 2026 NFL season

The 2026-2027 NFL season begins Wednesday, September 9, with a Super Bowl rematch between the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks. As kickoff approaches, projections indicate a potential AFC North title for the Cincinnati Bengals, driven by a return to health for quarterback Joe Burrow. Meanwhile, the Green Bay Packers face uncertainty following reports of Josh Jacobs being placed on the commissioner-exempt list and the absence of Micah Parsons. Analysts anticipate a breakout performance from Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams, who is projected to record 4,000 passing yards and earn league MVP honors. The Detroit Lions expect defensive end Aidan Hutchinson to contend for Defensive Player of the Year, while Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson is forecast to reach 2,000 all-purpose yards. Conversely, the Miami Dolphins face a difficult trajectory after a projected Week 1 win against Las Vegas remains their only victory of the season.
