Andoni Iraola poised to step up to Liverpool from Bournemouth

Summary

Andoni Iraola is set to join Liverpool after a successful tenure at Bournemouth, where he finished the season in sixth place. This appointment is part of a trend where managers struggle to transition from smaller clubs to the Premier League's 'big-six' teams, often resulting in short tenures and mixed performances. Notable recent examples include Thomas Frank, Graham Potter, and Nuno Espirito Santo, who all faced challenges after moving to bigger clubs. Iraola will need to overcome the historical difficulties associated with such transitions.
