Andoni Iraola prepares Bradley Barcola for expanded role against Atletico Madrid

Liverpool head coach Andoni Iraola has confirmed that summer signing Bradley Barcola is ready to handle an increased workload ahead of the Champions League match against Atletico Madrid at Anfield this Wednesday. Barcola, who joined from Paris Saint-Germain, made his debut off the bench during Friday’s 2-0 victory over Ipswich Town. The winger arrived at the club without pre-season minutes, prompting Iraola to introduce him cautiously in the Premier League. With the European campaign beginning, the manager indicated the training load has been normalized, potentially allowing for more minutes against the Spanish side. Liverpool enters the contest looking to build on recent domestic form, while seeking to improve their historical record against Diego Simeone’s squad.
