Andrade retains AEW National Championship amid new challenges

"

Line them up, and Andrade El Idolo will knock them down. I’m not talking about the ladies. Since Andrade won the AEW National Championship, he was become a fighting champion. Andrade’s next title defense was sealed with a kiss. The latest contender was Michael Oku at AEW Collision Grand Slam France (Oct. 1o, 2026) from Paris. Andrade felt frisky for a selfie. Amira Blair was ringside as Oku’s valet. She seduced El Idolo into a snapshot. Blair was not to be trusted. She set up Andrade, so Oku can land a dive outside. Andrade explained that he is still waiting for the right moment to cash in his world title shot. In the meantime, he will defend the AEW National Championship every week. To anyone in the back who thinks they can beat Andrade, he has one question. Before El Idolo could delight the crowd with his catchphrase, Tommaso Ciampa answered the call. Andrade accepted Ciampa’s handshake, then the Psycho Killer leaned in for a kiss. A Sicilian kiss of death on the cheek. Ciampa made it clear that he wants a title shot. As Andrade turned his back to exit, Ciampa pounced for a knee strike and a DDT onto the title belt. .@MrTommasoCiampa makes his intentions clear: The Psycho Killer has his sights set on @AndradeElIdolo’s AEW National Championship! 😈 Watch #AEWCollision Grand Slam France on TNT & HBO Max pic.twitter.com/k9tCURJfZ8 — All Elite Wrestling (@AEW) October 11, 2026 Andrade versus Ciampa for the AEW National Championship is not official yet, but the implication seems to be WrestleDream. Andrade’s run of success includes winning the strap from Mark Davis then title defenses against Jack Perry and Nick Wayne in a three-way, Gabe Kidd, Beast Mortos, Daniel Garcia, PAC, and Oku. Do you think Tommaso Ciampa’s name will be added to that list? Or do you see gold in the near future for the Psycho Killer? How would you react if Ciampa kissed you Sicilian style?
