Andre Rison begins five-day jail term for OWI conviction in Michigan

Former NFL wide receiver Andre Rison began serving a five-day jail term at Oakland County Jail on June 19, 2026. This follows his guilty plea for a second-offense operating while intoxicated stemming from an incident in August 2025 in Troy, Michigan. Rison, who is 59 years old, also received an 18-month probation sentence and must pay over $2,300 in fines and court costs. An additional charge for open intoxication was dismissed. Rison is known for his successful career in the NFL during the 1990s, making five Pro Bowls and amassing over 10,000 receiving yards.
