Andrew Costello, a former Cathedral Prep standout, has announced his transfer from Wake Forest to South Carolina. After graduating early, Costello had a solid season at Wake Forest, hitting.244 with four home runs in 32 games. His decision comes on the heels of Wake Forest associate head coach Bill Cilento's move to South Carolina. Currently playing in the Cape Cod Baseball League, Costello leads the league with a 1.234 OPS and is hitting.478. His former Cathedral Prep teammate, Jason Fultz Jr., has also entered the transfer portal.
