In an Atlanta Dream home game against the Las Vegas Aces on August 3, Angel Reese led her team with 23 points and 16 rebounds. Despite her standout performance, the Dream lost 109-87, marking their first defeat since mid-July. The loss triggered fan criticism regarding the team's need for additional support to complement Reese, who recorded a franchise-first three consecutive 20-point, 10-rebound games. With the trade deadline passed, the Dream must rely on their current roster, including the recently returned Brionna Jones, to improve their offensive consistency.
