Angels fire pitching coaches after disappointing season performance

The team parted ways with pitching coach Mike Maddux, assistant pitching coach Darryl Scott, and bullpen coach Dom Chiti. Interim general manager John Mozeliak stated that a change was necessary due to underutilization of available technology by the coaching staff. The Angels currently sit with the worst record in baseball, struggling with a poor pitching staff that has the seventh-worst ERA and the highest number of walks issued. The team hopes new interim coaches Tim Leveque and Michael Wuertz will improve the pitching down the stretch.
