The Los Angeles Angels have fired pitching coach Mike Maddux, bullpen coach Dom Chiti, and assistant pitching coach Darryl Scott as part of a major coaching overhaul. Interim GM John Mozeliak, who took office six weeks ago, stated the changes follow discussions with manager Kurt Suzuki about the need to evaluate the pitching staff. The Angels, currently struggling in the standings, have a pitching staff with a 4.53 ERA. New pitching coach Tim Leveque and interim bullpen coach Michael Wuertz have been appointed amid these changes.
